Absolutely Clean ,no balance.
The Dish Network 322 satellite receiver contains 2 individual tuners in one box. The receiver is installed next to one television and connected to two televisions. This dual tuner, two remote setup allows for independent control and viewing of television channels. The 2nd UHF remote gives the user the ability to change channels from the 2nd television location. The 322 is based on the very success full 311.
Anyone considering the Dish 322 receiver should give some consideration for the effective range of a UHF remote control. UHF remotes do have range limitations. Dish Network advertises a UHF remote range of 200 feet. However, that is though open air, and does not take into account the reduction in UHF remote range caused by walls and floors. Usually 1 normal wood framed floor or 2 walls is a safe assumption for effective UHF remote operation. UHF remote usable range is greatly reduced if passing through masonry or concrete walls or floors. If your two television locations are in separate buildings, such as a mobile home and a detached garage, you will want to stay away from the 322 or the 522 receiver. For television locations in separate buildings, more then 1 floor or 2 walls apart, you will want to use a separate receiver on each television.
Another potential downside of the Dish Network 322 is the inability to connect to the 2nd television using a composite video or stereo cables. The 2nd television will have a good picture, but if you want the sharpest picture and stereo sound on your 2nd television, you will need a dedicated receiver.
The Dish 322 is not sold as a standalone unit. It is only available with a Dish Network leasing plan. If you order a two-room Dish Network satellite system from a Dish Network Dealer, they may install a 322 to provide that service. The Dish 322 is not a bad unit, when used in the right application. There are, however, some homes that are not right for a 322 two-room solution. If the two rooms are more then 4 walls or two floors apart from each other, then that might cause issues with the UHF remote for the 2nd room operation of the 322. If you have concerns, you should mention them to your Dish Network Dealer before you agree to proceed with the installation. A good dealer will listen to your concerns and work with you to assure you get the product.
The Dish Network 322 does require some special wiring considerations. There are four methods used to provide signal to this receiver and carry signal to the 2nd television.
